Manager, Record to Report - Networks

Position Summary

Univision is seeking a Manager to support the Finance, Record to Report team for Networks. This candidate will be involved in all aspects of the monthly accounting close process as well as in charge of the daily management of the general ledger, among other responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

Review all journal entries are processed and ensure they are prepared in accordance with the company policy and in line with monthly close scheduleReview all account reconciliations and ensure they are prepared and reviewed in accordance with the company policyReview all programming rights, programming obligations and cash flow schedules related to linear/television platform for licensed and produced content.Work strategically with the Networks CFO and Networks Finance team to ensure accurate financial statements.Respond to issues that arise in the field that affect the close.Report status of day-to-day tasksEscalate disputes and other outstanding issues to supervisor as neededDaily management of the general ledger and staffMonitor service levels and make recommendations for improvement.Work with ETS to solution items Identified for improvementMaintain procedural documentationAbility to interpret and understand contracts.Responsible for the accounting for specialized contractual obligations.Preparation of the Quarterly Flux analysis bookAssist in gathering support for the internal/external audit requestsSupport ad hoc projects/system implementation

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting5+ yrs. accounting experienceStrong PC Skills with moderate knowledge of ExcelAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasksProblem solving and priority settingStrong verbal and analytical skills required with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization effectivelyStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with team

Desired Skills & Experience

Certified Public Accountant is a plus

Eligibility Requirements

Work from office in Teaneck, NJEmployment/education will be verifiedMust have unrestricted authorization to work in the United StatesAbility to speak/write/understand Spanish is preferred.Flexibility, as there will be workweeks that require more than 40 hours to ensure the Company’s reporting requirements are met.
