How you’ll make an impact:
Local accounting Lead assisting team members and oversee the work of assigned corporate accounting team within own functionPlan and direct corporate accounting project accountability for successful completion of all project deliverables to the business within established schedule, scope and quality objectives; Identify opportunities and lead the implementation of changes to drive improvementsIdentify risk, develop mitigation strategies, alternative solutions, critical path, resolve issues, action item follow up, etc. in collaboration with project managers, business partners, etc.Take a lead role in the maintenance of Sarbanes Oxley cycle narratives withing area of responsibility and accurately present key controls within each narrative and ensure all SOX key controls are appropriately completed within area of responsibilityLead subject matter expert for providing US GAAP and Statutory accounting guidance and JDE support to business unit and regional finance teams on appropriate accounting areas, in accordance with GAAP and company policy.Manage daily accounting activities to assigned entitiesManage, coach, and mentor a team of 2-3 accountants.Review monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis of B/S and P/L accounts.Coordinate the month-end close process.Coordinate training for new staff and identifies training needs of current staffServe as escalation point and provide technical expertise and resolutions to global finance partners and subordinate team membersCoordinate and facilitate external audits processOther incidental duties
What you'll need (Required):
Bachelor's Degree in in Accounting, 10 years experience of previous related experience requiredExcellent facilitation and presentation skillsExcellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skillsExcellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectivesProven successful project management skillsProven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel, database tools (e.g., QlikView), financial systems, and ERP systems (e.g., JDE, SAP)
