Maintenance Mechanic

The Maintenance Mechanic has an established record of successful experience, in all aspects of Raymond Mill repair and maintenance. He/she is experienced in peripheral equipment maintenance, repair and replacement. This person has a good basic understanding of the operation of the mills and peripheral equipment, and the testing of such equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic will direct Helpers and Laborers as a lead man when empowered to do so by the Mill Shift Boss, and/or in his absence.
+ The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the mobile equipment, forklifts, mills, baggers, bins, conveyors, cage mill, crusher system and peripheral equipment in reliably good running order. He/she reports maintenance concerns to the 'vlill Shift Boss or Mill Supervisor for the appropriate scheduling of maintenance functions and or repairs. The Maintenance Mechanic uses preventative maintenance check sheets, measuring instruments and mechanical hand and power tools. The Maintenance Mechanic maintains the Raymond mills by inspecting each active mill thoroughly, on a scheduled basis, insuring sound pneumatic control, effective grinding parts and surfaces, proper lubricant levels and distribution, proper balance and reliable availability. Repairs are made on a scheduled basis, by as much as possible, ith assured quality of parts and established "best practices" methods.The incumbent also maintains proper tool storage and organization, clean work areas and safe work conditions for him/herselfand those Helpers and Laborers working with him/her.
+ +10 years of experience working in similar positions, repairing mobile equipment, forklifts, mills, baggers, bins, conveyors, cage mill, crusher system and peripheral equipment. At least 4 years in the mine environment.
+ +3 year operating heavy equipment.
+ Knowledge of MSHA requirements and API standards.
