Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Machinist to join their team. As a Machinist, you will be part of the production department supporting the engineering and assembly teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Machinist

Location: Dothan, AL

Pay Range: Depending on Experience

What's the Job?

Fit and assemble machined parts into complete units, applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures. Provide engineering with input on new machine designs and assist in the assembly of the machines. Maintain production machines in proper working order and retrofit any new design changes as necessary. Assist in the development of prototype products and samples for customer evaluation. Inspect own work and adhere to required process and quality standards.

What's Needed?

High School Degree or equivalent; trade school diploma or apprenticeship preferred. 1 – 8 years of related work experience on CNC equipment such as mills or lathes in a manufacturing environment. Basic math skills and print reading capability. Familiarity with using micrometers and calipers. Ability to provide setup guidance and coaching to less experienced machining personnel.
