**We are searching for the best talent for a Logistics Integrator Lead, Advanced Therapies to join our team in Horsham, PA.**
**Purpose:** The Advanced Therapies Logistics Integrator Lead will oversee global logistics activities for advanced therapies clinical trials at Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical R&D, operating as part of the Clinical Supply Chain organization with a high degree of autonomy. This role involves managing a team of Logistics Integrators within region to ensure the timely execution of operational activities and collaborating with internal stakeholders (CSC, LSPD, ATSC) and external partners (Couriers, Vendors). For new compound introductions, the Advanced Therapies Logistics Integrator Lead will conduct end-to-end (E2E) logistics assessments and serve as a subject matter expert (SME) during audits.
**You will be responsible for:**
+ Lead trial and new program logistics programs in region and globally as required, connect with logistics functions and support areas to ensure operational readiness which includes – sourcing appropriate shipping solutions, setting country import/export requirements, lane selection, and collaborating with site contacts to establish communication plans.
+ Coordinate E2E trade compliance activities to ensure correct and smooth customs processes (IPPF, HTS Codes, product values, etc)
+ Manage and coach a team of Logistics Integrators (FTEs or contractors), ensuring timely delivery of projects and tasks. Deploy and adhere to performance management framework.
+ Ensure execution of the schedule for cell therapy trials and creation of trial distribution plans.
**Financials:**
+ Maintain budget and oversight of financials in region including preparing quotes and Purchase Orders for program transportation/logistics requirements.
+ Ensure forecast accuracy and on time regional submission of financials.
**Logistics Quality Management:**
+ Oversee resolution of logistics issues, including quality investigations and corrective action implementation.
+ Conduct regional impact assessments for change controls.
+ Partner with Quality to address service provider investigations and ensure timely implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
+ Serve as a subject matter expert during GxP audits and health authority inspections.
**Courier/Vendor Management:**
+ Support monthly/quarterly business reviews with vendor and identify continuous improvements. Compile data and analyse trending through utilization of KPI and quality metrics.
+ Ensure Courier SOW/COPs are up to date and maintained in iCD.
**Program/Project/ Process Management:**
+ Own trial-specific processes, such as distribution forecasts and maintaining country importation requirements databases.
+ Independently manage multiple priorities and demonstrate initiative in dynamic environments.
+ Lead strategic initiatives and manage assigned projects using FPX/project management best practices.
+ Serve as a lead, or core team member on logistics projects, leveraging industry knowledge to provide effective cold-chain, frozen, and advanced therapies logistics solutions.
**Stakeholder Management:**
+ Serve as a point of contact for logistics service providers, partnering with Quality to address investigations and implement corrective actions.
+ Provide subject matter expertise to other Logistics team members, Clinical Supply Integrator and GCO teams to ensure the optimal logistics network is utilized during trial conduct.
+ Develop strong working relationships across Logistics (TS+E, Logistics Integration, Trade Compliance, Logistics Strategy) internally and externally.
**Qualifications / Requirements:**
**Education:**
+ Minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required. Advanced degree is preferred.
**Experience/skills:**
**Required:**
+ Minimum of 4+ years of experience in logistics, cold chain, or distribution.
+ Expertise in pharmaceutical distribution, transportation, and logistics, including cold, and frozen distribution for clinical supplies and advanced therapies (e.g., cell/gene therapies).
+ Proven ability to manage change and collaborate internally and externally to deliver logistics solutions.
+ Strong operational and data analysis skills with effective communication and cross-cultural collaboration abilities.
+ Critical competencies include strategic thinking, results orientation, attention to detail, and fiscal responsibility
+ Intermediate to advanced software skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI)
+ Business applications experience, such as SAP, Ariba, COMET
**Preferred:**
+ Understanding of planning, material handling, manufacturing, and GMP-compliance related to Advanced therapies is preferred.
+ Knowledge of clinical study needs, and clinical operations is an advantage.
+ Project management proficiency, with FPX knowledge preferred.
+ Advanced degrees (MBA/MS) and APICS certification are an asset.
