We are looking for a talented and experienced lawyer to support our rapidly growing and evolving e-commerce business in Italy and Spain. You will support our business to create and launch innovative new projects, supporting strategic cross-European and local projects and agreements, counseling business on a wide range of matters, including commercial, marketing, IP, privacy, competition, consumer protection and product compliance law. You will manage engagement with authorities on a variety of matters, including regulatory compliance and product safety matters. You will develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative, business-centric ways and you will build processes that address risk and allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly. We are looking for candidates who are innovative, progressive, extremely hands-on, and customer-obsessed professionals. In addition, they must be proactive and fast-moving when necessary to complete projects in a timely fashion. Basic Qualifications Outstanding academic qualifications. Licensed to practice law in Italy Minimum 7+ years of post-admission legal experience, including experience in private practice Ability to draft and negotiate commercial contracts and handling pre-litigation disputes and inquiries Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Italian, with prior experience of writing papers/recommendations in English to senior management as well as briefs to regulators Preferred Qualifications Some in-house experience preferred Ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to act as a business partner to senior management Sound and practical judgment, even in ambiguous situations, and comfortable making high-quality decisions quickly and with limited information, have an obsession for satisfying customers and a passion for Amazon The ability to function as part of a European and global legal team and autonomously when required Fluent Spanish Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
