Oracle’s Customer Deal Desk team is seeking a motivated, proactive, and detail-oriented Lead Customer Deal Desk Specialist – Japanese Language to join our team. This role plays a critical part in supporting both front-office sales processes and complex quoting, ensuring smooth deal progression from lead to order. You will work closely with Sales, CSDM, Approver Groups, Order Management, Customer Data, Collections, and other internal teams to enable timely, accurate, and policy-compliant deal closures.
In addition to managing complex quoting, you will provide support across the opportunity-to-quote lifecycle, including lead management, opportunity support, account management, and tool guidance. Fluency in Japanese (JLPT N1) and effective communication with stakeholders in the Japan region are essential.
The role requires adaptability in a fast-evolving environment, with a focus on learning new tools and navigating changing processes. The ideal candidate is resourceful, and thrives in cross-functional collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Lead to Order workflow, ensuring timely progression and readiness for quoting and booking. Handle complex quoting, including onboarding, expansion, Supersede, replenishment, and renewals for Japan-based opportunities. Engage with Sales on forecasted and upside deals to support proactive closure through the Reach-Out service. Prepare and validate quotes and contracts to ensure compliance with Oracle policies and customer requirements. Resolve quoting process issues, including troubleshooting system or data errors. Collaborate with Sales and internal teams in Japanese and English to resolve escalations and close deals on time. Monitor key deals, track delays, and escalate where necessary to ensure timely deal closure. Stay updated on Oracle’s internal systems (Sales Cloud, CPQ, etc.) and contribute to process optimization efforts. Learn and adapt to changes in internal tools and policies affecting quoting and deal workflows. Participate in process improvement initiatives and provide feedback to enhance operational efficiency.Qualifications & Skills:
3+ years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or Sales Support, preferably supporting the Japan region. JLPT N1 with strong written and spoken fluency in Japanese and English. Hands-on experience with opportunity management, lead conversion, quoting, and account/customer data handling. Familiarity with Oracle tools such as Sales Cloud and CPQ. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; comfortable analyzing and presenting data. Proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities. Strong communication and collaboration skills across cultures and teams.Additional Information:
Work Schedule: 5 days/week with occasional weekend support during quarter-end. Minimal support may be required on India public holidays (rotational/as needed). Location: Bengaluru, India.
