Interning as a Junior Scientific Product Analyst, you will:

Act as an interface between scientific users and technical teams, gather information, document process, and confirm the final requirements with stakeholdersCollaborate with a team of software engineers, machine learning experts and bio- and chem-informaticians Design new solutions with real-world impact that help scientists understand disease and invent treatment 

What should you know / have:

Current MSc or PhD studentBackground in Biology, Chemistry, Medical science, or BioinformaticsStrong written, listening, communication and organizational skillsEagerness to learn scientific processes, drug discovery and development process, and regulatory requirements as necessary to solve business problemsAbility to work both independently and collaboratively

Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations

What will you do/learn:

Cooperate with scientists to gather and document scientific business requirements, user stories, business processes/workflows for new IT solutions.Gains expertise in the business areas as well as technical aspects of the IT solution.Contribute to prototyping and building state of the art informatics tools, pipelines and dashboard, which solve biological problems.Principles of software development life cycle (SDLC), User Experience (UX) and Agile Development (Scrum/Kanban).Using product management tools including Jira, Confluence and Mural.Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.Establish relationships with scientists from different MSD laboratories around the World, with opportunities for short-term company visit abroad as part of your future career in MSD.
