Job Description

AECOM/Hunt has an exciting position for a Junior Construction Estimator in our Dallas, TX offices.  

• Participate in construction estimating systems and processes.  
• Develop knowledge in estimating terminology, measures, concepts and principles for preparing estimates.
• Exposed to various processes, project actions and assumptions that may impact estimates.
• Gathers, calculates and compiles data for use in developing all types of estimates.
• Performs the routine aspects of estimating assignments.  
• Assists senior specialists in performing various estimating functions as required.
• Exposed to drawings, specifications, work breakdown structures, charts of accounts, published and internal data used in preparing estimates.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

 

BA/BS Finance, Business Administration or similar curriculum or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Experience in commercial construction estimating,

Preferred Requirements:

Direct experience in domestic construction estimating from a large GC or subcontractor.Excellent Written & Verbal Communication SkillsSales & Customer Service experience in construction.Experience in formulating estimates and proposals.Ability to interpret architectural plans to create proposals, ensuring proposals are thorough and complete.Ability to maintain relationships with clients through strong communication via email, phone and in person correspondence.  Construction documentation knowledge.Proficiency in construction management software such as SmartBid, Construct Connect, Building Connected, and Procore.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams).
