Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inspector Mechanical to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As an Inspector Mechanical, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of mechanical systems in various construction projects throughout the city.
Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and water supply, to ensure compliance with contract documents, specifications, and building codesCoordinate daily with other teams to document and verify the quality and quantity of work performed by contractorsProcess incoming inspection requests and technical submittals, taking necessary actions as requiredRead and interpret package contract documents, detailed drawings, and specifications, including any associated updatesMonitor contractor compliance with standards and specifications through observation, measurements, and testingMaintain accurate records of contractor manpower and equipment resources on a daily basisPerform site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident EngineerDocument contractor activities, including personnel, equipment, location, and methods utilizedMonitor and report on material deliveries and implement site instructions as directed by leadershipApply and enforce quality control procedures and quality assurance processes on-sitePrepare site measurements and conduct surveying checks as neededMonitor health and safety practices during construction works and report any violationsWrite clear and concise reports detailing inspection findings and recommendationsQualificationsDiploma in Engineering required (Bachelor's degree preferred for career advancement)Minimum 7 years of experience in Construction Supervision with a Consultancy, specifically in mechanical-related projectsExtensive knowledge of mechanical methodologies, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and water supply systemsProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and building codesFamiliarity with installation processes and procedures for various mechanical systemsStrong understanding of quality assurance and quality control procedures in constructionExperience in diverse building types, particularly high-rise, mixed-use residential and commercial, retail, and hospitality projectsExcellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise reportsDetailed knowledge of construction techniques and best practicesFamiliarity with health and safety regulations in the construction industryProficiency in using relevant software tools for inspection and reporting purposesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment and under pressureExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailWillingness to work on-site and in various weather conditionsAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
