Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Marine Inspector to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a Marine Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and seaworthiness of various marine vessels and structures.
Conduct thorough inspections of marine vessels, including hull structures, propulsion systems, and safety equipmentAssess compliance with local and international maritime regulations and standardsUtilize advanced inspection techniques and equipment to identify potential issues or defectsPrepare comprehensive inspection reports, detailing findings and recommendationsCollaborate with shipowners, operators, and regulatory bodies to address compliance issuesStay updated on the latest maritime regulations and inspection methodologiesParticipate in the development and improvement of inspection procedures and protocolsProvide technical guidance and support to junior inspectors and team membersEnsure adherence to safety protocols during all inspection activitiesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related fieldMinimum of 10 years of experience in marine inspection or a related maritime roleRelevant marine inspection certifications (e.g., NACE, API, ABS)In-depth knowledge of marine vessel structures, systems, and componentsStrong understanding of maritime industry regulations and standardsProficiency in various inspection techniques and equipmentExcellent report writing and documentation skillsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsWillingness to travel and work in various marine environmentsPhysical capability to access and inspect all areas of marine vesselsProficiency in computer applications for report writing and data analysisAdditional InformationAbout AECOM
