Job DescriptionThe HR Manager acts as the primary HR Business Partner for a Sub-Regional Business Line (Sub-RBL), supporting several decentralized Business Units. The role is responsible for enabling workforce success through the entire employee life cycle while supporting leadership with HR expertise, processes, and tools.Lead and support key HR core processes including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compensation, career development, and learning—ensuring high-quality delivery across the employee life cycle.Foster engagement, retention, and organizational development through e. g. structured annual dialogue processes, career pathways, and targeted health initiatives.Actively manage employee relations, ensuring collaboration with local employee representatives, and support committee work within the decentralized structure.Oversee labor relations, ensuring effective collaboration with employee representatives and compliance with local requirements.Ensure legal compliance across HR processes, including implementation of EU directives (e.g. Working Time Directive, Pay Transparency), and advise managers on employment law topics.Support continuous improvement of systems and workflows.Lead or participate in HR projects focused on digitalization, compensation structures, well-being, employee engagement ensuring cross-functional coordination and implementation.

Sustainability Responsibilities:

In addition to your HR tasks, you support the CSO to drive the development and implementation of our sustainability and ESG strategy, ensuring alignment with global standards and our commitment to responsible growth.For our largest site in Niefern you drive sustainability initiatives and manage all aspects of our location specific EcoVadis and COE emission recording.For our largest site in Niefern you coordinate ESG data and stakeholder communication to ensure transparency, compliance, and continuous improvement across the organization.

QualificationsDegree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Psychology, or a related fieldFirst professional experience in a generalist or HR Business Partner role, ideally in a multi-site or matrix organization.Proven knowledge and hands-on experience across the full employee life cycleStrong understanding of European labor law and HR compliance topics, with the ability to advise managers and ensure legal adherence.Experience in managing labor relations and cooperation with employee representativesDemonstrated ability to lead or support HR projectsExperience or strong interest in sustainability and ESG topics, particularly in coordinating EcoVadis assessments or similar CSR frameworks.High level of self-organization and ownership, with strong communication skills and a collaborative, business-oriented mindset.Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional European languages are an advantage.Proficient with digital HR systems and tools; data-driven and comfortable working with KPIs and reports.
