Job Description
HR Business Partner Adriatic is locally responsible for all HR activities within Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Bosnia & Herzegovina providing expert guidance for people leaders and employees on all HR topics in line with Global HR guidelines and local employment laws.
Compliance and Legal Framework: Ensure adherence to corporate and local policies, and the legal framework of Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, and Bosnia & Herzegovina. Collaborate with external legal consultants to uphold compliance when necessary.HR Administration: Oversee all HR administrative tasks for the Adriatic countries, supported by AbbVie Shared Services. Ensure legal compliance in HR administration activities, such as maintaining employee records, and verifying documentation completeness and accuracy.Payroll Management: Guarantee that payroll-related processes comply with Global Payroll guidelines and standards.HR Business Planning: Collaborate with the local Finance team to support HR business planning processes, including annual and long-range planning.Recruitment and Compensation: Work with the Talent Acquisition Team and relevant leaders to manage the entire hiring process according to recruitment plans. Finalize compensation and benefits packages following the Total Rewards guidelines.Strategic Business Partnering of the assigned Functions: Partner with the business by implementing HR strategies, assessing organizational needs, and creating effective solutions. Serve as the primary HR contact for local senior management, addressing all HR-related inquiries.Delivery of HR Programs: Ensure effective execution of corporate HR programs and services, including goal setting, employee evaluation and rewards, talent assessment and management, employee development plan creation, compensation management, recruitment, and selection.Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with HR Centers of Expertise and other Corporate HR functional partners (talent management, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition) to coordinate HR elements aligned with business needs.Strategic HR Proposals: Develop and present HR proposals and recommendations to address strategically important business issues.Employee Mediation: Act as a mediator between management and employees to resolve various work-related and interpersonal issues.Change Facilitation: Advocate and facilitate the implementation of organizational changes, ensuring progression in daily activities.Employee Engagement: Promote and foster employee engagement and a positive corporate culture.HR Metrics and Analytics: Monitor, analyze, and report key HR metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives. Utilize data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions and improve HR processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.Qualifications
University degreeCroatian and English language proficiency verbally and in writing5+ years of HR experience (preferably on a generalist/business partner role in multinational environment)General labor law knowledge and understanding of payroll processesPractical experience with HR systems such as Workday, SAP HR, Taleo or otherMaintains the highest standards for confidentiality and privacy of HR dataProblem – solving attitude, networking skills / cross functional collaboration, advanced digital and number skills, excellent analytical skillsProficient in all Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
