DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to play a vital role ensuring continuous development and execution of Health and Safety across the business.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?
\nAs part of your normal duties, you will
\n\nProvide day to day HSE support, guidance and advice to the Operational Management Team and aligned Functions to enable the site to comply with all relevant statutory legislation, CAA guidance and company standards\nSupport with the implementation of HSE standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives identified from DHL and Customer goals and objectives \nAssist with the development, implementation and communication of all relevant HSE policies at the station.\nTo support the HSE Business Partner to drive engagement and the Just Culture / Safety Culture within the Station\nDrive and support the Safety First & Just Culture within the area of responsibility \nCoordinating the HSE activities on the site to support the HSE Business Partner \nMonitor the accuracy and quality of information within incident management systems and use trend analysis \nHelp maintain Safety Improvement Plan in a standardised format (inclusive of leading & lagging indicators).\nUndertake relevant Safety, Health and Environment audits and create action plan in line with Safety Arrangement and Divisional audit schedule. This will also include Customer Base Line Audit activities\nAssist in the management of the site H&S committee\nManage the site Risk Assessment and Safe Systems of Work schedule in line with the Safety Arrangement\nEnsuring accident and incident investigations are completed in a timely manner and actions are implemented to prevent reoccurrence at the site (inclusive of major incidents & motor acitivities). Ensuring all actions are traced through the SIP plan \nUndertake and support applicable audits and assist and monitor corrective action plans in line with corporate and customer requirements.\nSupport with the management of Claims \n\n\n

\n\nMust hold a NEBOSH certificate (Essential)\nExceptional understanding of all relevant H&S regulations applicable to warehouse environment\n1-2 years in a safety or operational based role wiith safety accountability \nAbility to engage with site and customer stakeholders\nKeen eye for detail to identify root causes and enable continuous improvement\nAble to communicate at all levels, internally and externally\n\n\n
