Head of Business Development - Abbott Molecular
**SUMMARY** + Achieve Vietnam, Cambodia AMD Sales and P&L plans by managing Abbott local Sales Executives and Distributor’s dedicated commercial teams and activities. + Represent Abbott AMD towards local customers and key stakeholders. + Drive New Business Development (NBD) activities to ensure Abbott AMD long term business expansion in Vietnam, Cambodia. + Manage AMD business execution through assigned distributors in Vietnam, Cambodia including RA, QA, PV, Logistic, Finance, Marketing, Sales, NBD, and all related matters where assigned by manager & company. + Monthly monitor A&P and team costs according to plan between distributor & Abbott AMD + Develop Distributors networks in Vietnam, Cambodia. + Develop and manage relationship with MoH, national policy/guideline makers, key opinion leaders, reference labs, key accounts, NGO, funding agencies. + Strictly align with Abbott OEC system plus design and implement activities in Vietnam, Cambodia with full compliance with Abbott Code of Business Conduct (CoBC). **MAIN** **RESPONSIBILITIES** **Build:** + Creates a sustainable infrastructure and environment that enables growth. + Maintains leadership presence and emotional control in difficult situations. + Provides the insight, knowledge and leadership to improve functional area and build the business. + Develops, rewards, and shares talent; is the type of leader others want to work with or for. + Provides accurate, frequent, and constructive feedback to subordinates, peers, and leaders. + Makes the difficult people, financial, and business decisions in a timely manner. **Set Vision and Strategy** . + Identifies and acts upon trends that can impact the business. + Creates and communicates a motivating, compelling vision of the future that supports employee engagement. + Develops short- and long-term strategies and helps align the resources to achieve them. + Translates strategies into actionable goals and plans, and then communicates them to ensure alignment of effort and purpose. **Deliver Results** + Displays continuous energy, intensity, and persistence to drive the organization forward. + Delivers what is promised; holds self and others accountable for results, commitments, and behaviors. + Takes appropriate accountability for failure; does not blame others. + Takes action in a timely manner, with urgency or caution as appropriate, but always in a planful way. + Balances short- and long-term priorities and maximizes the opportunities for both. + Addresses organizational or cultural barriers that could prevent success. **Anticipate** + Develops scenario and contingency plans that ensure achievement of results under changing conditions and situations. + Takes initiative to implement change before others. + Actively gathers customer inputs in order to anticipate and fulfill their needs and requirements. + Manages internal/external stakeholders to identify and address issues. + Understands the situation or audience and adjusts approach to achieve desired outcomes. **Innovation** + Creates an environment of experimentation and uses failure as an opportunity to learn and take alternate action. + Challenges current thinking; generates new ideas and expects others to do the same. + Integrates information from multiple sources to generate unique insights or new solutions that distinguish Abbott from the competition. + Leverages diversity of people and thinking to create a competitive advantage. + Collaborates across boundaries to create cross business opportunities. **MINIMUM BACKGROUND/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** + 10 years + experience in healthcare business including in MNCs. Experience in AMD business would be advantageous. + Significant team management experiences, significant marketing, sales P&L achievements. + Able to work independently with minimal supervision. + Strong strategic and analytical thinking. + Energetic & strive in a highly result-oriented environment. + Great leader & player with strong communication, facilitation & interpersonal skills with team. + Loyal & ambitious, willing to develop in Abbott as a future country manager. + Computer skill: Excel, PowerPoint. + Speak and write fluent English. **MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED** + Scientific educational background (preferable Molecular Biology and/or Oncology related) + Graduate level: Bachelor’s Degree (preferable Master Degree or PhD Degree).
