Join Global Project & Planning Management as a Global Project Manager and you’ll act as a leader and facilitator of Global Project Teams, articulating strategy and execution, on projects ranging from those transitioning from Research to Development through submission and approval. The GPM drives activities across core team members to ensure alignment, develops scenario alternatives, identifies risks and mitigation plans, and manages variances in timing, resources and budget and ensures project quality.
The development Global Project Manager (GPM) is the only one together with the Global Project Head (GPH) to have a wide scope going from research to commercial requiring a deep knowledge of the contributions across all functions (CMC, clinical, regulatory, medical affairs, market access, commercial…) along the value chain and involved stakeholders, but also of the science and technical aspects to be able to implement and optimize the project strategy.

Main Responsibilities:
The Global Project Manager main responsibilities are the following:
Contribute to the definition project strategy and lead its translation into a realistic, robust and ambitious plan
Drive the execution of the functional operational plan across functions in terms of timeline, resources, budget and quality
Lead the risk management process encompassing proactive risk identification, quantification (probability and impact), risk strategy definition and mitigation plans
Foster appropriate communication in close collaboration with all stakeholders, including regions, functions and platforms as needed. This includes project vision, reports and timely alerts.
Lead all relevant project documentation such as Integrated Development Plans (IDPs), budget proposals and centralized project dashboards in partnership with units and platforms and other planning actors.
Lead and facilitate decision making within the team environment and through governance committees
Co-lead and motivate the team to be high performers
About You
Experience:
10+ years of experience in expanding roles in development or related field including experience and understanding of the current pharmaceutical and drug development process including sound understanding of the therapeutic area, or
5+ years professional experience on managing complex projects, including experience on a late-stage development project that has experienced interactions with health authorities; skills for bridging between different fields of expertise and demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary global teams would be of additional benefit.
Soft skills:
Master communication tools and all channels of communication (from face to face, writing to remote video) and strategize communication methods
Strategic and critical thinking to propose strategies and challenge the status quo.
Technical skills:
Solid project management and planning skills: Planning, Resources & Costs
Good knowledge of a planning tool (Planisware preferred)
Strong risk management and problem-solving skills
Strong project management, change management and strategic planning skills
Proficient use of digital tools and AI-based technologies. Readiness to foster and adopt the company’s digital transformation
Education:
Advanced degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. MS, PhD, MD, DVM) or related degree with substantial project management and / or project leadership experience.
Business education and/or qualifications such as MBA or professional project management qualification such as PMP® would be of additional benefit
Languages:
Fluent in English (verbal and written communication)

The salary range for this position is:
$172,500.00 - $249,166.66All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs. Additional benefits information can be found through the LINK.
