Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s progressive related work experience. Or a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Systems or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.

 

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience with the following: 

Trouble-shoot issues on the 1830 PSS network deployed for the customer;  1830 PSS GMPLS/GMRE (Generalized Multi-protocol Labeled Switching Routing Engine) Solution and the 1830 EPT(Equipment Planning Tool);  1830 PSS WEBui (Web User Interface), CLI (Command Line Interface) and TL1 command language;  Performing retrieval of Debug dumps, running traces, and interpreting logs via CLI; Performing health and maintenance analysis on customer's networks.

Provide remote technical support to all customers on 1830 PSS equipment and networks and assist both internal and external customers with the isolation of problems within a 1830 PSS network.  Identify the impact of the outage and changes made to the customer network.  Ensure outage situations are documented per guidelines to meet contractual root cause analysis obligations.  Provide pragmatic and effective recovery.  Manage and communicate the related risks.  Create and maintain customer relationships on a day-to-day basis and develop solutions to rectify reported issues.  Maintain high level of customer satisfaction by providing services fully compliant with the SLA.  Ensure that tickets / records for each issue are continuously updated and maintained per the Nokia processes.  Provide measurable input into new products, processes, standards or operational plans in support of business strategies.  Analyze, develop and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert.  #LI-DNI

Domestic travel up to 15% required.

International travel up to 5% required.

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Dallas, TX may be permitted up to 60%.
