GL Accountant Requisition ID: 43839 Job Location(s): Apodaca, MX Employment Type: Full Time Segment: Group Functions CFO Job Function: Finance & Accounting Work Location Type: On-site **Job Description** We are looking for an organized and proactive **Trilingual General Ledger Accountant** to join our **Shared Service Center (SSC)** team. This role is responsible for core general ledger activities including fixed asset accounting, intercompany reconciliation, and supporting monthly closings. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, while maintaining compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. **Job Responsibilities** + Fixed Assets Accounting and Administration - Maintain and update the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, transfers, follow-up of AUC and perform monthly depreciation. + Intercompany Accounts Reconciliation – Perform monthly intercompany account reconciliations and follow up on outstanding balances. Ensure intercompany transactions are accurately recorded and documented in accordance with group policies. + Month-End Close Support - During Month-end closing GL Accountant will perform the activities and processes of reviewing and closing the financial records for a specific month. Ensuring the timeliness, completeness and accuracy of financial data and providing insights into the company's financial performance for management and stakeholders. + Compliance & Controls - Ensure transactions comply with internal controls and accounting standards (IFRS/local GAAP). Participate in internal and external audit preparation by providing documentation and responding to audit queries. + Support standardization and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy. + Identify and suggest improvements to accounting procedures and reporting processes within the SSC framework. + Balance Sheet Reconciliations - Prepare and complete timely monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts. Investigate and resolve discrepancies or aged items in balance sheet accounts, ensuring proper documentation and supporting evidence. Proactively identify risks, unusual trends, or inconsistencies in account balances and escalate issues as needed. Maintain accurate records of reconciliation processes for audit readiness and compliance purposes.
