Title: General Accounting Supervisor
Location: ROHQ, Taguig (hybrid/day shift)

The Senior Financial analyst/Supervisor establishes and leads a team of professionals who support finance and accounting operations globally for Asurion based on agreed upon performance expectations

Key Accountabilities

Responsible for the on-time and successful transition of regional and global functions to the finance shared service center in ManilaEstablish Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance of the global finance shared service centerEnsure service delivery according to the SLA and manage relationship with the onshore teamsOversee all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory guidelinesManage the shared service close activities for General Ledger, in accordance to the set-forth due dates & deadlines of each regionApprove account reconciliations and various analyses (Balance Sheet and Income Statement), including review of monthly results, accruals, and variance reportingManage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriateAct as escalation point, manage complaints, own quality of service and is responsible for tracking and reporting on service level performanceContinuously review month end closing bottlenecks and promote a continuous improvement culture and lead regional efforts towards process standardization, strive to minimize exceptions and automate processes.Accountable for people management (selection, training, appraisal, retention and development), and conduct regular coaching and mentoring to direct reports and ensure alignment of training investment to the Individual Developmental PlanResponsible for the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan of the team including internal back-up planPerform ad hoc activities and tasks as required

Education:

Bachelor of Science in Accountancy

Experiences, Skillsets & Personal Competencies

At least 8 years of experience in different areas in finance and accountingAt least 3 years people leading experience with specific experience in planning and organizing the work of others; managing self and others through change; driving performance execution and results; motivating and developing high performing teams; supporting collaboration cross functionally; leading courageously; divine discontent; displaying credibility and influence.Knowledge or have background in internal controls for cash, AR, AP, treasury/disbursements and GL/Financial Close.Experience in business process outsourcing (BPO) or Share Services industry in a similar positionStrong ability to influence multi-disciplinary teams/stakeholder groups to drive a continuous improvement cultureStrong problem solving, analysis and troubleshooting skills - identifies areas for process improvements and leads/participates in implementationExtensive written and spoken English language required, as well as interpersonal and relationship building skills across culturesIn-depth knowledge of financial accounting and US GAAP and Philippine IFRSHands-on” with preparation of journal entries, analysis and reports;Systematic and detailed approach to transaction posting, account reconciliation, processes and controls;Experience with computerized accounting systems (Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, etc.)Excellent in Microsoft Windows and Office Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Access is a plus)
