Amazon is seeking a Fraud Investigator to support Theft Investigation & Prevention (TIP). TIP is a vertical within Global Finance Operations (FinOps) Theft, Fraud, Abuse and Waste (T-FAW) program. TIP detects, investigates, and prevents theft & fraud from carriers and vendors. This includes vendor fraud, vendor outbound theft, carrier fraud and theft, cargo theft, inbound theft or theft during transshipments. We are seeking a theft investigator who excels at controllership and ambiguity. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and is always driving for solutions, without compromising accuracy. Candidates have a strong understanding of the procure-to-pay process and/or experience in Loss Prevention and fraud and theft investigations and/or auditing and/or transportation. The candidate must have excellent prioritization, communication and organization skills and is able to work independently.
As a Fraud Investigator, you will dive deep into vendor, invoice, shipment and carrier data, in order to identify theft and fraud. You will play a key part in understanding, analyzing and improving detection reports and new prototypes and support building a robust logic to identify theft and fraud scenarios in the current process.
Key job responsibilities
- Perform theft investigations and root cause analyses on carrier, vendor and shipment level
- Identify, analyze and resolve issues related to losses in transportation and Supply Chain (First Mile, Middle Mile, Last Mile)
- Support creating a robust detection process by improving input reports and work with technical teams to automate process steps
- Support theft investigations with data analyses and reporting
- Produce clear and concise investigation reports, dispositions, and deep-dive analysis, ensuring all case details are cohesively documented
- Contribute to metrics and reporting
- Drive process standardization by documenting and auditing process steps
- Interact with internal stakeholders, mainly Loss Prevention, Retail and Transportation teams
- Provide coaching and guidance to team members, supporting cross-skilling and development across the team
- Coordinate with global team members to conduct deep dives, walk-troughs and quality reviews of evidence to resolve complex problems
Base pay for this position starts from EUR 1,870+ gross per month and salary depends on the skills and requirements, there will be further pay components such as a sign on bonus and the eligibility to participate in a restricted stock unit scheme operated independently by Amazon.com Inc. in USA. Company benefits apply subject to further terms, including annual membership in medical clinic, life insurance, retirement pension, meal voucher card, career development.
