The role Purpose of the role: The Financial Compliance Data analytics specialist is a pivotal role for integrating Microsoft Power Apps expertise into the organization's financial controls and compliance governance architecture. This role demands extensive knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Power Apps, Power BI and alongside other IT capabilities to improve risk management practices and internal controls. Focus on developing, implementing, and improving risk management practices, specifically enhancing Microsoft Power BI. Roles and Responsibilities Risk Management Practices: You will play a supporting role in developing, implementing, and continuously improving risk management practices. This entails collaborating closely with multi-functional teams to identify potential risks, evaluate their impact on the organization, and devise strategies to optimally mitigate or control them. Internal Controls: You will be responsible for supporting the establishment and maintenance of robust internal control systems across all business processes and functions. This includes assessing existing controls, identifying gaps or weaknesses, and implementing vital improvements to safeguard the companies assets, data, and reputation. Compliance and Ethical Behavior: Supervising compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and acceptable ethical behavior is a critical aspect of the role. You should ensure that the organization adheres to relevant financial and legal standards. Information and Technology Security: You will collaborate with ITS and information security teams to assess and improve information and technology security measures. Testing and Reporting: Testing is foreseen to be a key responsibility and area where you would dedicate most of the time and efforts. You will be conducting detailed testing and generating comprehensive reports on the adequacy and efficiency of risk management, including internal controls. These reports will be presented to senior management and relevant customers, providing valuable insights for decision-making and continuous improvement. Continuous Improvement: You will actively drive continuous improvement within the organization. This involves finding opportunities to improve risk management processes and internal controls, implementing standard methodologies, and staying updated with emerging trends in financial compliance and risk management. Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions and awareness programs for employees and customers on compliance requirements, internal controls, and their role in maintaining a compliant and risk-aware culture. What we need to see from you Solid Understanding of MS office tools (MS Tables, Power Apps, Power automate, BI), ServiceNow experience Risk Management Experience: Some knowledge and understanding of risk management principles, practices, and methodologies, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring. Internal Controls: Some experience in crafting, implementing, and evaluating internal control systems to ensure the safeguarding of assets and compliance with policies and procedures. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: The ability to analyze sophisticated data, identify patterns, and draw meaningful insights to make informed decisions and address compliance and risk-related challenges. Interpersonal Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills Auditing and Reporting: Some familiarity with auditing principles. Ethics and Integrity: Proven dedication to ethical behavior and a strong sense of integrity when handling sensitive financial and compliance matters. Collaboration and Leadership: The skill to work closely with cross-functional teams and lead discussions on risk-related topics and control improvements. Technology and Data Analysis: Understanding technology tools for data analysis, data visualization, and risk monitoring. Business Insight: Some understanding of the organization's business operations, objectives, and industry dynamics to align compliance efforts with overall strategic goals. Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically and strategically when evaluating risk scenarios and developing appropriate risk management strategies.
