What You Will Be Doing?

Drive business performance by partnering with the Managing Director to set performance targets, monitor performance against KPIs, assess commercial risk and intervene to exploit opportunity or re-set course where necessary to ensure SPM/LATAM and Brasil meets and exceeds its objectives.Challenge the business and its functional stakeholders to ensure rigor in decision making.This will involve providing commercial and financial insight in many areas of the business including, but not limited to, sales force effectiveness, customer and portfolio profitability, asset efficiency, pricing strategy and commercial risk management.Drive the strategic and commercial planning processes of the SPM/Latam and Brazilian businesses.This will include strategic review planning, budgeting and forecasting and will require an excellent understanding of business drivers required to achieve business objectives.Monitor and interpret market and environmental trends, the competitive landscape and competitor strategy and provide insight to the business on how this might impact on strategy and performance.Identify, lead and drive innovation and change initiatives in the organization.Support the business and its functional stakeholders in the implementation and monitoring of business initiatives.Provide finance expertise to support the evaluation of investment opportunities.Partner with the business or its functional stakeholders to manage external relationships with suppliers and customers, ensuring optimal commercial outcomes for the business.Be an active member of the Brazilian leadership team and the Latin America Finance team. This will involve attending key meetings and proactively working to shape the future organization.Ensure strong controls through deep assessment and timely submission of MAPS.Excellent skill in risk management to identify track and mitigate business risk or their impact.Being a key point of contact to the major distributors on financial matters such as collection and pricing.

What will you need to be successful?

Degree in Finance, Business or Accounting preferred but relevant business-related qualifications would be considered.Highly and practical understanding of the taxable statutory environment/regulationPost-graduate degree in business management/administration or equivalent is advantageous.Previous experiences in a senior commercial finance role.Relevant industry experience is advantageous, ideally in Medical Devices or Pharmaceuticals.Strong communication skills in Portuguese, English and Spanish.Ability to work with, and drive, Franchise / Country Leaders and the entire commercial organization.  Influence, and at times coach.Ability to work across multiple initiatives simultaneously and process complex data to generate relevant insight.
