Located just miles outside of Silicon Valley and San Jose, the completely renovated Embassy Suites by Hilton Milpitas Silicon Valley is searching for a creative Executive Chef to lead their culinary team. Boasting 2 culinary selections as well as 19,000 square feet of event space, the property has 267 guest suites, an indoor pool, and stunning views of the Milpitas foothills.

What will I be doing?

\n

As Executive Chef, you would be responsible for directing and administering the planning, preparation, production and control of all culinary operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nDirect and oversee all culinary operations, to include, but not limited to, production of all hotel meals, food quality and presentation, compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulations, team member productivity and performance, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls and overall profitability. \nBe creative and implement new menus and individual menu items for our specialty restaurant TASTE, based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with Director of Food and Beverage, while maintaining brand standards. \nWill oversee the complimentary breakfast program and maintain brand standards. \nEnsure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards as well as the companies Quality Assurance (QA) inspection and Ecosure Program. \nMaintain daily kitchen logs. \nResponsible for purchasing and receiving supplies for daily usage as well as special events/banquets. \nPerform general management duties including, but not limited to, systems management, budget and forecasting, end of month report generation, department management and meeting participation and facilitation.\nMonitor and develop line, restaurant and banquet cooks performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and rewards.\nRecruit, interview and train team members\n

The annual salary range for this role is $90-$100k and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
