They ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment such as tugs and forklift. Equipment Operators perform pre-operation and post-operation inspections, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with team members to complete task on time. Their role is critical in ensuring the smooth progress of operations while maintaining safety standards and equipment integrity. **Responsibilities** + Operating Machinery: Skillfully operating equipment such as tug, forklift and other heavy machinery according to safety protocols and operational guidelines. + Pre and Post Operational Inspection: Conducting thorough inspections of equipment before and after use to identify any defects or maintenance needs, ensuring safe operation. + Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Performing routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on equipment; reporting major issues to maintenance personnel. + Site Preparation and Material Handling: Preparing work sites by clearing obstacles, leveling ground, and transporting materials as needed. + Adherence to Safety Standards: Following all safety procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and ensuring a safe working environment for themselves and others. + Documentation and Reporting: Keeping records of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities; reporting any incidents or safety hazards. + Coordination with Team: Communicating effectively with other workers, supervisors, and managers to coordinate activities and ensure timely progress. + Environmental Compliance: Following environmental regulations related to equipment operation, such as spill prevention and emission controls. + Continuous Learning: Staying updated on new equipment, safety protocols, and best practices through ongoing training. **Qualifications** + High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent – Preferred. + Must have a valid professional driver’s license. + Availability to work flexible shift hours, 6 days per week and rendering overtime. + Prior experience operating specific types of equipment. + NC II certificate in heavy equipment operation or forklift issued by TESDA or similar + Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations + Mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment maintenance + Good vision and physical stamina + Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and signals + Ability to perform physically demanding tasks + Attention to detail + Good communication skills + Reliability and punctuality **Employee Type:** Permanent UPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. **Company:** UNITED PARCEL SERVICE **Category:** Hub & Feeder Operations **Requisition Number:** R25017555 **Location:** Pampanga,Philippines
