Job Description

Position Summary

As an Engineering Manager for Lifecycle Services in Mexico, you will lead a team of experienced engineers, overseeing the design, execution, and continuous improvement of cutting-edge industrial automation solutions. Your responsibilities will span from strategic market agreement and project execution to quality control and technical leadership. This hybrid role is based in our Mexico offices and reports directly to the Regional Business Manager for Lifecycle Services Mexico.

Your Responsibilities:

Lead and Inspire a High-Impact Engineering Team: Manage a group of hardware and software engineers, including supervisors and technical staff, focused on the delivery of integrated industrial automation system solutions.Drive End-to-End Project Execution: Oversee the full lifecycle of automation projects—from concept design through final delivery—applying structured project governance (e.g., Gate Reviews, PMBOK) to ensure timeliness, cost control, and quality.Ensure Operational Excellence and Compliance: Lead risk mitigation, resource planning, and performance monitoring. Ensure adherence to internal policies, quality standards (QMS, IPD), and regulatory requirements.Engineer for the Future: Guide the design and development of automation and information systems, including the preparation of installation, operation, and maintenance documentation. Lead feasibility studies, analyze technical proposals, and assess automation solutions for continuous improvement.Advance Technical Capability and Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with internal teams and customers to align solutions with market trends, improve delivery standards, and ensure a high level of satisfaction.Foster a Culture of Excellence and Innovation: Analise staffing needs and assign workload, as well as recruit, coach, and mentor engineers to maintain a technically strong and motivated team. Promote the use of global tools, libraries, and best practices while tracking and improving performance through KPIs.Strengthen the Execution Ecosystem: Define and manage continuous improvement projects and develop a robust support ecosystem by selecting, onboarding, and evaluating external suppliers, integrators, and consortium partners.Promote Knowledge and Standards: Ensure team-wide familiarity with Rockwell’s full solution portfolio and global engineering standards. Champion knowledge sharing, and the structured use of tools and best-in-class methodologies.

 You will report to Regional Business Manager

The Essentials - You Will Have:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.Minimum of 5 years of engineering management experience in the industrial automation or related sector.With a data-driven approach to decision-making.Ability to travel occasionally for client meetings and business-related engagements.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

MBA or advanced technical degree.Experience driving innovation, quality, and execution excellence.Deep knowledge of industrial automation, control systems, information solutions and related technologies.Customer-centric mindset with the ability to build and sustain long-term partnerships.
