Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Engineer - Planning to join our dynamic team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the successful planning and execution of engineering projects by leveraging your expertise in financial analysis, project management, and resource allocation.

Develop and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for small to medium-sized projectsAnalyze project financial data and identify potential impacts on project outcomesAssist in establishing project baseline data using drawings and specificationsConduct cost and schedule variance analyses to ensure project efficiencyCollect and analyze progress data, reviewing performance trends to support decision-makingApply earned value, scope control, and change management methodologiesAnalyze manpower, labor hours, and labor costs against budget limitationsTrack purchase order and subcontract commitments and expendituresSupport the project reporting process and participate in project cost review meetingsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of project goals and timelinesAssist in trend analysis and forecasting to optimize project performanceContribute to the development and improvement of planning processes and tools

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)Proficiency in financial and cornerstone systems used in project managementStrong understanding of accounting principles and financial data analysisExperience in developing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and project baseline dataFamiliarity with earned value concepts, scope control, and change management methodologiesDemonstrated ability to analyze cost and schedule variancesExperience in collecting and analyzing progress data and performance trendsProficiency in project management software and toolsStrong mathematical and statistical skills for data analysis and forecastingExcellent analytical and problem-solving abilitiesOutstanding organizational skills with attention to detailEffective communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentKnowledge of purchase order and subcontract tracking processesFamiliarity with project revenue and cost conceptsAdaptability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
