Job DescriptionAs a part of our continued growth, our Burnaby office has an outstanding opportunity for an Electrical Technologist. You will work in a team environment with intermediate and senior engineers to deliver light industrial and healthcare projects to our client base in Western Canada.
Major Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Provide design, production and documentation developments for electrical power and distribution systems, lighting controls, and building low voltage systemsDevelop electrical documentation using Revit and AutoCADStrictly adhere to AECOM's project BIM/CADD standards, including capability of learning and adopting clients' standard and requirements upon requestEnsure accuracy, completeness and quality of technical aspect on project documentation produced in accordance with AECOM QA/QC procedures and the clients' standardsEnsure that project deliverables are produced in a timely manner to expected quality and allocated budgetEfficiently and effectively handle multiple tasks independently
Qualifications
In order to be considered for this position, candidates must meet the below requirement, at a very minimum:
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum two years of design or relevant experience in a multi-disciplinary electrical for commercial and/or light industrial design using AUTODESK packages (AutoCAD, REVIT, Electrical CADD).Proven track record in design and production of engineering documents such as single line diagrams, electrical location drawings, schematic wiring diagrams; developing equipment load schedules, and cable & tray calculationsProven proficiency in developing construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD.Must be able to interpret engineers' notes and specifications, and convert into detailed design drawings accurately in timely manner with minimum amount of supervisionDemonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may be considered.

Certificate or Diploma in Engineering Technology with specialization in electrical systemsA.Sc.T. or C.Tech designation or eligibility for registration is preferred5+ years of related experience in using Revit and AutoCADExperience designing low voltage distribution, standby generation, transformers, MCC and startersProficiency with Revit preferredFamiliarity with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Project and PowerPointFamiliarity with the Canadian Electrical Code, NFPA (National Fire Protection Association), and experience in 120/208VAC, 600VAC, low voltage and communication systemsAdditional Information
