Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, is seeking a District Manager to join our industry leading sales team. You’ll be responsible for revenue and profit growth of programs and services in targeted accounts in the Textile Care Division. District Managers are responsible for the management of people, information, business, customer service, asset and expense management. District Managers develop Territory Managers within an established district to ensure quality service, maintain and increase our customer base (primarily laundries - central, uniform rental, linen and distributors), and facilitate the achievement of Ecolab’s financial objectives through ethical and sound business practices.

What You Will Do:
Provide leadership and direction to a team of 10-14 Territory Managers and 1 District Associate DM in all aspects of sales, service, installation, and maintenance of premium commercial laundry products (healthcare, hospitality, linen and industrial)
Continuously identify business needs and opportunities and develop and implement customized solutions for customers
Take action to consistently increase customer satisfaction & retain customers - assess needs, provide information, solve problems
Understand and demonstrate the sales process and utilization of sales tools to maximize leads and generate new business. Work with the designated Business Development Manager to grow District revenues
Know competitor, competitive offering, and impact on customers and prospects.
Gain new business through focused and targeted prospecting, and continuous involvement in marketplace. Focus on List, independent and corporate accounts customers.
Manage, monitor or correct as necessary all flat fees and cost guarantees programs; be conscious of the implications these programs have on the divisions’ profitability
Encourage and assist team to find new ways of doing business, increase sales and continuous process improvement to exceed growth targets
Foster a team environment in which new knowledge and ideas drive growth
Identify and build rapport with key customer contacts and decision makers – internal and external
Develop leads through networking with customers and other divisions
Coordinate sales and service activities with distributors, marketing functions and Corporate Accounts for district
Build marketplace relationships through involvement in associations, trade shows, educational and community organizations, and other market groups.
Maintain business relationships with the top 20 largest customers in each district
Position Details:
Candidate must reside within the South Central District
Territory could cover up to a 10 state area
65% overnight travel required. A typical work schedule is home office Monday and Friday with overnight travel Tuesday through Thursday
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years leading and developing teams
5+ years of successful technical sales or outside sales experience utilizing a consultative sales approach.
Ability travel as required to support the district.
Position requires a current and valid driver's license

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range
The total Compensation range for this position is $116,000-$174,000 which includes base pay and target incentive based on performance, per plan terms. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.Benefits
