Director Product Management (Technical Data Engineering)
About the Role  As a Director of Technical Product Management, you will lead the strategic vision and execution of our data engineering products and solutions. You'll be responsible for bridging technical expertise with business strategy to develop scalable data engineering solutions that drive meaningful business outcomes.   Key Responsibilities  Lead the product strategy for our data engineering platform, defining roadmap priorities based on market trends, customer needs, and technology capabilities  Partner with Engineering, Data Intelligence, AI and Business teams to translate complex requirements into actionable product features  Manage a team of technical product managers, data pipeline engineering teams mentoring them to effectively balance technical constraints with business objectives  Drive product development through the entire lifecycle from conceptualization to delivery, ensuring alignment with organizational goals  Lead cross-functional initiatives to optimize data pipelines, architecture, and infrastructure  Establish product metrics and KPIs to measure success, guide decision-making and product adoption  Present complex technical concepts to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders  Stay current with emerging data technologies and industry best practices to maintain competitive advantage    Qualifications  8+ years of product management experience with at least 5 years focused on data engineering, data platforms, or related technical products  Proven track record of successfully leading complex data product initiatives with measurable business impact  Background in software development or data engineering  Deep understanding of data engineering concepts including ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and modern data stack technologies  Experience with cloud platforms (AWS Redshift, Snowflake, GCP Big Query) and their data service offerings  Strong technical background with the ability to engage in detailed architectural discussions  Experience with modern data tools like Spark, Kafka, Airflow, dbt, Snowflake, and data lake technologies  Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts for various audiences  Experience leading and developing product management teams  Preferred understanding of ML/AI technologies and their data requirements  Experience leading large-scale data transformation initiatives  Track record of successful product launches in B2B enterprise environments  Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field; Master's preferred    EEO INFORMATION AND WORKING CONDITIONS The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.  They are not intended to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties and skills required of the job.  PRGX will make all employment decisions without regard to race, color, national origin, citizenship status, sex, pregnancy, religion, age (age 40 and over), disability, service in the uniformed services, genetic information, or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local law.  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
