Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and qualified individual to join our team as the Director of Safety & Environment at our Dunboyne site. As the Director of Safety & Environment and an integral member of our leadership teams, you will lead our efforts in ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations. You will oversee the Safety & Environment department, which supports all site operations in achieving world-class performance in these areas.
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:
Implementing our corporate environmental, health, and safety strategy at the site level.Developing and executing policies and programs to continuously improve our management systems.Leading and nurturing our Safety & Environment team to ensure compliance and high performance.Encouraging all employees to take ownership of safety and environmental matters and act as advocates in their roles.Building strong relationships with site leaders and effectively navigating our multidisciplinary environment.Advising on safe and environmentally sound operations, ensuring clear communication of complex regulations to all staff.Conducting audits and assessments to monitor program effectiveness and drive improvements.Engaging with local regulatory agencies and stakeholders to advocate for our interests.Setting clear objectives and tracking performance using metrics to guide actions.Managing the Safety & Environment department budget.What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
A graduate or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Science or Engineering.At least 10 years of experience in environmental and safety roles, particularly in biopharmaceutical, pharmaceutical, chemical, healthcare, or similar industries.Proven track record in implementing management systems and ensuring compliance.Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and their relation to environmental and safety regulations.Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.Experience in managing teams, attracting talent, and fostering a strong team culture.Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.Flexibility to navigate ambiguous situations and drive outcomes.Self-motivated with a proactive approach to meeting deadlines and milestones.A sense of urgency in driving progress and closing actions.Ability to identify and apply best practices from various organizations.Current Employees apply HERE
