Responsibilities:

Detailed analysis of treaty casualty business, including underwriting, pricing and servicing of new and renewal treaties

Conduct underwriting reviews of current and prospective clients (some travel required) followed up with written reports

Management and development of relationships with brokers and clients

Monitor underwriting results by regular review of loss and accounting reports in conjunction with close contact with brokers and clients

Ideal candidate should possess:

5 to 10 years of progressive responsibility in an underwriting position (insurance or reinsurance) dealing with North American casualty business

Good working knowledge of general liability, workers compensation, auto liability, umbrella liability and professional liability, including D&O

Good analytical and organizational skills

Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well orally and in writing

A strong work ethic and ability to work within a team atmosphere

Good computer skills in Word and Excel
