TelevisaUnivision is seeking a Director of Real Estate & Facilities Operations who will oversee the optimization and maintenance of - as well as projects related to - all company site locations, nationwide, which entails a total of more than 1 million sq. ft. This position is responsible for directing the Corporate Real Estate and Facilities functions, overseeing all aspects of transactions, acquisitions, construction & project and facilities operation and management to ensure efficient space planning of safe and effective work environments, essential to the business. In addition, the Director of Real Estate & Facilities Operations manages on- site third-party vendors that oversee daily facility operations and construction projects and other outside professionals to achieve desired results. YOUR DAY-DAY: (aka Responsibilities) + Create a comprehensive workplace and space planning forecast based on existing footprint and scenarios for future footprint and business needs to ensure efficient and effective space utilization. Work closely and collaboratively with client groups to meet requirements. Provide detailed, regular metrics concerning space utilization. + Develop and execute real estate and facility standards, strategies, policies and procedures. + Ensure facilities and related operations are compliant with appropriate local, and national relevant building codes. + Work closely with FMS vendors to ensure buildings and facilities are appropriately maintained, safe and operational. + Oversee the design, build and occupancy phases of new and remodeling facility projects. + Oversee the operations and maintenance of technical facilities. + Oversee and coordinate emergency planning. + Provide financial oversight of all building and space operations, nationally. This includes collaborating with finance to develop budgets, + Provide transactional management support and develop negotiation positions in connection with real estate purchases, divestitures, lease renewals, early lease cancellation, etc. + Single point of accountability for real estate and facility issues, maintaining close working relationships with senior business leaders. + Manage lease administration database + Proven change-leadership skills with experience in building high performing teams. Strong people manager and coach. YOU HAVE: (aka Qualifications) + Minimum of 8 years of experience leading Facilities and Real Estate planning functions and/or construction management in a mixed technical and office environment, nationwide with a detailed knowledge of critical operations facilities. + Bachelor’s degree in engineering, facilities management, architecture, building science or related field required. + Familiarity working with OSHA programs + Strong leadership and collaborative skills, and proven ability to work with cross-functional partners, clients, vendors and contractors + Proficient in financial analysis and budget development. + Superior project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously + Knowledge and understanding of building codes + Fluency in Spanish OUR BENEFITS: TelevisaUnivision believes that a happy, well-balanced employee is what makes our culture thrive.
