DC General Maintenance Associate

Position Purpose:

Oversees, maintains, and repairs building support systems in a complex, warehouse environment. Also, performs maintenance related functions in support of warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

50% - Facility Maintenance - Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on building support systems. Completes equipment status reports and manages work orders in computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).30% - Operations Support - Performs maintenance related functions in support of warehouse operations such as, but not inclusive, Material Handling Equipment (MHE) battery service, 5S management, HAZMAT processing.10% - Safety Compliance - Performs maintenance related functions in support of warehouse operations such as, but not inclusive, Material Handling Equipment (MHE) battery service, 5S management, HAZMAT processing.10% - Working Environment - Maintains safe and clean working environment, and performing daily cleanup of work areas.

Travel Requirements:

Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.
 

Physical Requirements:

Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting material or equipment, some of which may be heavy or awkward.
 

Working Conditions:

Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes that cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
 

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or olderMust be legally permitted to work in the United StatesMust be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteExperience in general building repair tasks to include drywall, paint, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.

Minimal or no educational requirement for this job.
 

Preferred Education:

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
