**Summary:** The Legal Engineering, Analytics, & Data Team in Global Legal Operations and Strategy (GLOS) is responsible for building solutions to solve complex problems related to compliance, security & investigations, intellectual property, and more. We are looking for a Data Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented data engineers, while proactively driving the direction for data engineering across the entire legal organization at Meta. In this role, you will develop a clear sense of connection with our organization and leadership - as Data Engineering is a critical investment to scale analytics and drive strategy. Through the consulting-nature of our team, you will contribute to a variety of projects and technologies, depending on partner needs. Projects include analytics, data pipeline frameworks, tooling, services and more. **Required Skills:** Data Engineering Manager - Legal Responsibilities: 1. Partner with leadership, engineers, program managers and data analysts to understand data needs. 2. Design, build and launch efficient and reliable data pipelines transforming data into useful report ready datasets. 3. Broad range of partners equates to a broad range of projects and deliverables including data pipeline frameworks, datasets, measurements, services, tools and process. 4. Use your data and analytics experience to identifying and addressing data gaps, proactively monitor and detect data quality issues and partner to establish a self-serve environment. 5. Leverage data and business principles to automate data flow, detect business exceptions, build diagnostics, improve both business and data knowledge base. 6. Build data expertise and own data quality for your areas. **Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications: 7. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math or a related quantitative field. 8. 10+ years of experience designing and building data engineering solutions that solve complex, ambiguous problems or scale horizontally to provide value across many teams and consumers. 9. 3+ years of people management experience. Experience hiring and managing highly skilled data engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development to the members of the team. 10. Experience with SQL, Python development, data modeling, custom ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) design, implementation and maintenance. 11. Experience working with cloud or on-prem Big Data/Massively Parallel Processing analytics platform (i.e. Netezza, Teradata, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, Azure Data Warehouse, or similar). 12. Experience with workflow management engines (i.e. Airflow, Luigi, Prefect, Dagster, Google Cloud Composer, AWS Step Functions, Azure Data Factory, Control-M). 13. Experience owning and delivering business initiatives from idea to implementation. **Preferred Qualifications:** Preferred Qualifications: 14. Experience with more than one coding language. 15. Experience in designing and implementing real-time pipelines. 16. Experience with data quality and validation. 17. Experience with SQL performance tuning and e2e process optimization. 18. Experience with anomaly/outlier detection. 19. Experience with notebook-based Data Science workflow. 20. Experience querying massive datasets using Spark, Presto, Hive, Impala, etc. 21.
