\nThe Dangerous Goods\nSpecialistposition provides regulatory and operational direction to field\noperations, customer support, and global counterparts regarding dangerous\ngoods/restricted commodities shipping within DHL Miami Hub. Supports and\ncommunicates the regulations and policies in accordance with the air carrier’s\nground operations manual, US DOT (FAA), IATA/ICAO dangerous goods regulations\nand DHL Express company policy.

\nKey Accountabilities:

\n\n

\n\n\n Liaises and co-ordinates with\n the DGSA and Regional RCG as needed\n Oversees and manages the\n implementation of all applicable DG requirements\n Maintenance of any local DG and\n Emergency Response Procedures\n DG Training requirements\n Compliance to the Standard\n Awareness Level Testing (SALT)\n Ensures Customer Facility DG\n reviews are completed to support the DG account approval process\n Ensures the annual facility\n self-assessment is completed\n Manages and Reports all RCIR\n entries and follow up\n Reports all DG spills or\n leakage trough the appropriate local/regional process\n Maintenance of all DG facility\n postings, supplies and filling requirements\n Respond to all inquiries that\n may be related to customer questions (internal and external), a request\n from a regulatory agent, or a report of a leaking dangerous goods shipment\n Specialist must comply with\n both Express and ACS procedures, based on type of product.\n Supports field operations on\n technical or system related issues with RCTS and PNFMS for all\n international dangerous goods traffic and those shipments transiting the\n US domestic network.\n Interfaces with various global\n dangerous goods departments to ensure all international dangerous goods\n packages are handled in accordance with the import and export standard\n operating procedures.\n Performs data-entry of incident\n reports and follows up with field operations on compliance issues for\n corrective action.\n\n\n

Skills &\nQualifications:

\n\n\n Fluent ability in both the\n Spanish and English language strongly preferred\n Typically requires 2 to 5 years\n in related field and/or DHL experience\n An advanced understanding of\n dangerous goods regulations including 49CFR, IATA, and ICAO regulations is\n preferred.\n Ability to facilitate a\n collaborative team environment across a diverse group of domestic and\n international colleagues, airlines, contractors and customers\n Highly efficient in organizing\n and coordinating multiple tasks in a fast-paced multi-cultural global\n environment.\n Strong knowledge of Excel and\n database management preferred.\n Strong PC skills including\n Front Page, Microsoft Office and web-based applications.\n\n\nKnowledge of DHL internal\napplications preferred (PNFMS, RCTS, FOCUS, RCIR)

Ability to work rotating shifts, supporting day\nand night operations
