Guy Carpenter is looking for a talented and motivated candidate to join our team based in Mexico’s Office as a Contracts AVP.
This is a hybrid role which requires working at least three days a week in the office.

Broker I is responsible for supporting the execution of the client’s go to market strategy and delivering the value of GC’s products and services appropriate to that treaty/ business unit need in manner consistent with our firm’s Global Mission Statement with the particular client. The Broker I coordinates his or her efforts with the AE in order that the transaction is aligned with the overall engagement.

Analyze risks and assist in developing solutions to meet client needs.Respond to client inquiries and concerns, promptly resolving issues to maintain client satisfaction.Support and assist in the design, development, and marketing of new products and brokerage programs to secure new projects.Assist senior brokers with more complex client assignments.Demonstrate a competent understanding of market conditions to better serve clients and inform junior brokers about market trends.Provide periodic updates to management on issues, progress, etc., and upon request, to ensure high-quality customer service.Monitor accounts (payments, collections, etc.), anticipating and preventing issues whenever possible.Maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and insurance/reinsurance companies to efficiently communicate client demands and requests internally.Evaluate contractual documents and bond forms, as well as banking terms and conditions.Be able to assess and explain to the client the terms and conditions of the General Indemnity Agreement that must be executed to support all surety transactions.Evaluate financial statements across all industries with specific knowledge of theWhat you need to have:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) 4 Year College Degree in Actuarial Sciences5 years of related experience in life and health insurance or reinsurance as an insurer, reinsurer, or broker.Comprehensive understanding of insurance and reinsurance concepts and terminology for developing and placing reinsurance programs, preparing placement slips and cover notes, and drafting or amending both new and existing contracts.Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, reinsurers, and internal teams.Effective verbal and written communication skills for complex interactions (such as presentations and negotiations) with clients, markets, and colleagues at various levels.Ability to prioritize tasks based on volume and urgency.Capacity to devise creative solutions to emerging challenges.Proficient in organization and detail-oriented work.Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Commitment to maintaining compliance with professional standards and supporting company-wide quality initiatives.Team-oriented mindset to effectively support client needs.Skillful in addressing client requirements by organizing and accessing necessary resources.Capable of managing significant workloads through effective time management.Ability to appropriately challenge situations by backing claims with facts and information.Initiative to identify opportunities for streamlining and enhancing current processes.Possession of technical knowledge and expertise, enabling the provision of suitable support to clients.Willingness to travel (including internationally), entertain, and attend meetings up to 30% of the time.Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.Focus on the Mexican market and Central America.What makes you stand out:
