We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Migration Architect to lead the end-to-end design and execution of large-scale data migration and ETL transformation programs within a complex banking environment. This is a senior-level contractor position suited for professionals with a strong background in financial services, large-scale legacy-to-modern system migrations, and hands-on technical leadership in data architecture and engineering.

Key Responsibilities Define and drive the data migration strategy for complex banking platforms. Design and architect scalable ETL frameworks and data migration pipelines. Lead data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and loading processes across heterogeneous source and target systems. Collaborate with business stakeholders, data stewards, and technical teams to understand data requirements and ensure data integrity and governance throughout the migration. Oversee data mapping, validation, reconciliation, and cutover planning activities. Provide technical leadership to data engineers, analysts, and developers involved in the migration program. Document architecture, processes, and best practices; ensure adherence to compliance and security standards. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or ETL leadership roles. Proven track record in leading large-scale data migration projects in the banking or financial services sector. Strong experience with major ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, DataStage, SSIS) and modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue). In-depth knowledge of relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and big data technologies. Solid understanding of data governance, lineage, and data quality management. Experience working in regulated environments with high data sensitivity (e.g., core banking, payments, KYC, regulatory reporting). Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. Nice to Have Experience with cloud data migration (AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with core banking systems and data models (e.g., Temenos, Finacle). Certifications in data architecture, cloud platforms, or ETL technologies
