Continuous Improvement Project Lead
Job Description

Danfoss Business System (DBS) seeks dynamic Continuous Improvement Project Leads to spearhead initiatives that significantly reduce Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) across Danfoss locations.

As a vital part of the DBS More for Less (M4L) team, you will manage projects lasting up to six months, aiming to enhance contribution margins by optimizing Other Factory Costs, including MRO, Transport & Logistics, Packaging, and Energy & Utilities. This includes eliminating non-value added or duplicated efforts, waste and other related losses.

In addition to project leadership, you'll act as a Train-the-Trainer, implementing M4L capability building at local sites. You will train and empower local M4L Champions, enabling them to independently drive indirect cost reduction projects, with ongoing support and coaching from DBS.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a multicultural environment alongside skilled colleagues, collaborating closely with factory stakeholders and Danfoss support functions.

As a global company with over 100 factories worldwide, this position requires flexibility and a willingness to travel approximately 70% of the time, working across all sites within your region. When not traveling, you may work from one of our offices or from home.

Job Responsibilities

Your primary responsibility will be to support and empower local teams in identifying cost-reduction opportunities at our sites. You will lead initiatives for implementation, working closely with designated support functions. Additionally, you will contribute to the ongoing development of More for Less tools and processes, enhancing their effectiveness and reach.

Your key responsibilities will encompass:

Coaching, facilitating and leading cross-functional teams to identify and implement opportunities for reducing Other Factory Costs. Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure engagement, creating data transparency, defining project scope, assembling project teams, and facilitating Idea Generation Workshops. Assisting in the preparation of business cases and Tactical Implementation Plans (TIP), along with other project-specific tools and steps, to drive initiatives to successful implementation. Managing Performance Management Systems (PMS) to ensure timely execution and achievement of agreed goals, providing corrective actions when necessary, and reporting outcomes to management. Leading the deployment of M4L capability building at your designated sites. Fostering a culture of sustainable change and promoting a productivity-driven mindset throughout the organization.

As a trusted partner and DBS Ambassador, you will collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain stakeholders to cultivate a high-performance mindset and drive continuous improvement, specifically targeting Other Factory Costs across the entire value chain. Within DBS, you will be part of a global network, contributing to the development and maintenance of a resource library dedicated to M4L best practices.

We offer an exciting position within a fast paced and international environment, characterized by high visibility, where you can leverage your existing experience while collaborating with deeply committed and motivated colleagues. At DBS, we embrace a non-hierarchical structure that swiftly translates ideas into action. This role provides you with ample opportunities for learning and development, allowing you to grow both personally and professionally.
