Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Compliance Specialist to work remotely. However, the client is located in Sacramento, CA and thus it's expected that this individual's working hours be on Pacific Timezone.

SUMMARY:

This role will support environmental compliance by entering data, analyzing commitments, and preparing reports within the EMMA database to ensure documentation and implementation of regulatory requirements during construction activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Code environmental commitments from environmental and permit approval documents into the EMMA databasePrepare reports in EMMA to identify gaps and document mitigation complianceSupport the environmental compliance manager to use EMMA for construction compliance demonstrationInteract with regulatory agency staff to answer routine construction compliance questionsAssist with document control in SharePoint and other applicationsAssist with construction-phase compliance reporting

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

BA/BS + 4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiarity with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), and permits and approvals under Sections 401 and 404 of the Clean Water Act, Section 7 of the federal Endangered Species Act, Section 2081 of the California Endangered Species Act, and Section 1600 of the California Fish and Game Code, among othersExperience in construction compliance tracking, documentation, and reportingBiology or conservation backgroundExperience with design-build contracting and construction processesExperience working on large, complex environmental compliance programs
