This complex property position works between our Hilton Portland Downtown (455 rooms) & The Duniway (327 rooms) properties in downtown Portland. Find us in central downtown, less than one block from the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall and Pioneer Courthouse Square. Pioneer Place Mall, Portland Art Museum, Newmark Theatre, and several parks are within three blocks.

A Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety of guests and team members and the security of the hotel and property in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

\n

This position requires the candidate to either have coming into the position or be able to obtain within 90 days the state of Oregon's DPSST license. The property will assist those candidates in the training process if needed to obtain the necessary license. 

\n

What will I be doing?

\n

As a Security Officer, you would be responsible for ensuring the safety of guests and team members and the security of the hotel and property in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nPatrol the interior of and the perimeter of the hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions\nRespond to emergency situations including, but not limited to, safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and/or property\nPromote safe work practices\nInitiates preliminary investigations into incidents, as needed\nWrites reports and ensures accuracy of necessary documentation, as needed\nRespond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner\n
