Commercial Operations Manager, Asia Pacific - Digital Health Solutions

The Commercial Operations Manager drives commercial excellence and sales operations initiatives for the Digital Health Solutions (DHS) business unit throughout Asia Pacific. The focus is on leading the monthly Integrated Business Plan (IBP) that aggregates key data across sales territories related to commercial activities, sales forecasts, and demand plans. The individual helps deliver revenue commitments through close monitoring of late-stage sales and solution implementation activities. The individual works with front-line commercial managers and their teams to identify opportunities to achieve business outcomes, establish contingency plans to offset business risks, align with leadership on key metrics and performance indicators, and generate associated reports.

Responsibilities

Ensure that all activities are performed in compliance with quality system requirements.Drive adherence by the commercial teams of standardized sales and management processes, and promote the utilization of associated tools, dashboards, reports, and metrics, and drive associated data integrity.Align between sales leadership in the Core Diagnostics and DHS business units on associated sales forecasts and demand plans. Monitor sales performance of teams and individuals. Define and update associated assumptions. Produce periodic management reports, including monthly IBP deliverables.Work with commercial managers to establish contingency plans to offset commercial risks and vulnerabilities.Work with sales, service, and marketing teams to drive key commercial activities that will enable sustainable and predictable commercial growth. Ensure timely and effective communication of key decisions, elevations, and action items.Facilitate amongst commercial stakeholders the definition and execution of sales plays required to achieve commercial goals.Work with regional and area sales and commercial operations teams to identify process and learning gaps. Work with relevant stakeholders to identify improvement plans. Establish appropriate metrics to monitor and support plan execution.Provide feedback and assist with the development of new or improved tools and processes.Support sales opportunity win/loss analytics, including price sensitivity.Support pricing governance and coordinate with relevant stakeholders (e.g., pricing managers, marketing) to establish price targets. Help monitor and conduct audits of price data and customer proposals for accuracy and achievement of price targets.Support local rollout of customer contract and statement of work document templates.Success in this role is measured by the achievement of DHS sales and margin goals, and completion of individual goals. Measures for individual goals include accuracy of data (e.g., sales pipeline, forecasts, and demand plan) and effectiveness and efficiency of the commercial teams.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, science, health care administration, or a related field. MBA is a plus.Minimum of five years’ experience in a combination of commercial excellence, sales operations, finance, sales management, or similar roles. Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.Strong understanding of sales forecasting, demand planning, and associated analytics.Experience with product portfolios that include software-as-a-service and professional services is a plus.Strong data analysis skills and familiar with customer relationship management software (e.g., salesforce) and data analytics tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Power BI).Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, drive teamwork and cross-functional collaboration, and influence without direct authority.Individual contributor.Reports to the Global Commercial Operations Director – Digital Health Solutions.Collaborates regularly with the following functions: commercial operations, sales, service/delivery, finance, marketing, contracting, pricing, commercial training, and sales enablement.The position is based at the Abbott office in Singapore.Regional and international travel up to 10%.
