Clinical Education Specialist – Ortho LatAm

The Clinical Education Specialist plays a critical role in supporting and executing high-quality medical education programs by ensuring the seamless delivery of hands-on training, bioskills lab operations, and content localization. This role complements the Medical Education Manager by focusing on the technical and clinical execution of educational initiatives, ensuring that training programs are both scientifically rigorous and practically applicable. As a key contributor to surgeon education, the Clinical Education Specialist works closely with faculty, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to develop and adapt training content, provide technical support in bioskills labs, and facilitate hands-on procedural education. The role also ensures that all educational programs align with regional needs, compliance requirements, and evolving clinical best practices

What will you be doing?

Serve as a technical expert on orthopedic surgical procedures, implants, and instrumentation, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of all educational materials. Adapt global training content to regional needs, ensuring alignment with local surgical practices, compliance regulations, and clinical trends. Develop educational materials, including procedure guides, hands-on training decks, and technical reference documents to support surgeon and sales force education. Assist in implementing blended learning models, including digital platforms (LMS), surgical simulation, and interactive training modules. Act as a resource for Sales and Marketing, providing clinical insights to support medical education initiatives and product positioning. Lead the technical execution of surgeon training programs, ensuring best practices in surgical techniques, instrument handling, and procedural workflows. Support the development of course agendas by aligning technical content with faculty objectives and learner needs. Provide real-time procedural guidance and troubleshooting during bioskills training to reinforce safe and effective use of products. Collaborate with faculty, KOLs, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution of in-person and virtual training sessions. Maintain expert-level product knowledge, staying current with surgical advancements, competitor technologies, and industry trends. Manage bioskills lab setup and execution, ensuring proper use and availability of surgical instruments, implants, and capital equipment. Act as the primary technical liaison for lab activities, overseeing instrumentation, specimen handling, and compliance with health & safety regulations. Deliver expert product demonstrations, ensuring trainees gain confidence in product applications and surgical workflows. Maintain lab inventory, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure proper waste disposal and regulatory compliance. Ensure accurate documentation of training sessions, including faculty input, attendee records, and post-training reports. Maintain compliance with industry regulations and internal policies related to medical education and bioskills training. Assist in gathering participant feedback to refine training programs. Ensures all initiatives adhere to compliance and regulatory guidelines. Maintains knowledge of industry regulations and accreditation standards.

What will you need to be successful?

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, medical, or related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum 3+ years of experience in clinical training, surgical education, or bioskills lab operations. Proven expertise in orthopedic surgical procedures, instruments, and procedural workflows. Experience in content adaptation, instructional design, or hands-on clinical education. Strong familiarity with bioskills labs, medical device instrumentation, and procedural training methodologies
