Chocolate Production Worker
Job Purpose and Impact

The Sanitation Operator I, will perform housekeeping and sanitation processes using basic equipment and following sanitation schedules and safety processes. In this role, you will maintain good housekeeping and sanitation conditions to ensure food safety regulations and other local regulations are met, prevent failures and maintain safe work areas.

Job type: Full time
Schedule: 2nd & 3rd shift 1:30 pm - 10:00 pm or 9:30 pm - 6:00 am
Compensation: $24.68/hr plus $0.25/hr for 2nd shift, $0.50/hr for 3rd shift
Sign on Bonus: $3000

Key AccountabilitiesPackaging our finished product in accordance with prescribed packaging procedures while producing high-quality packing of finished goodsWork with computer-controlled equipment or more mechanically based machines to make sure they are set up properly, working well, and producing quality products. Perform changeover and machine set-up as requiredInspecting products to oversee product quality assuranceInteract regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations and promote a teamwork-focused environmentOperate forkliftsContact the supervisor and maintenance personnel in the event of any mechanical problems or unsafe situations/work practices within your areaUnderstand and adhere to all safety policies and proceduresMaintain a safe and clean work environmentOther duties as assignedQualifications

Required Qualifications:

Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorshipMust be 18 years or olderAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)     Basic use of a computer     Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)     Ability to work in elevated areas   Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation     Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice


Preferred Qualifications:

Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systemsExperience working in a production-related workPrior experience using the forklift and/or similar equipmentExperience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)Experience working in a food manufacturing environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent
