Interning as a Cheminformatician, AI/ML you will:

Collaborate with a team of software engineers, machine learning experts and cheminformaticians Develop new solutions with real-world impact that help scientists understand disease and invent treatment

What should you know / have:

Current MSc or PhD studentStrong programming skillsStrong knowledge of Python Familiarity with UNIX systems and bash scriptingBasic statistics and data visualization (Matplotlib, Plotly, Pandas, Numpy)Machine learning experience (Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch)

 

We will be happy if you know some of these:

o  data visualization (Matplotlib, Plotly)

o  Amazon Web Services (AWS)

o  Docker

o  CI/CD Tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar)

o  backend development in Python (Flask, Django, FastAPI)

o  frontend development (HTML, JavaScript)

What will you do / learn:

Leverage cutting-edge computing resources (AWS, Databricks or internal high-performance cluster) for executing computational tools on big biological and chemical datasets Contribute to real-world applications of state-of-the-art technologies (machine learning, deep learning, NLP) on biology and chemistry related problems Meet motivated and technically-skilled colleagues who will be happy to coach you on different topics from the industryEstablish relationships with scientists from different MSD laboratories around the World, with opportunities for short-term company visit abroad as part of your future career in MSD
