The Care Management Support Assistant (CMSA) employs a variety of strategies, approaches and techniques to support a member's optimal wellness state by coordinating services & resources. The CMSA may support various functions including care and service coordination and redeterminations. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.
Position Responsibilities:
Contribute to administration of care management.Provides CM support by managing shared mailboxes and entering data into work queues, mailing letters/educational material, researching unable to contact members and will complete other administrative functions, as assignedProvide non-clinical support to the assessment and evaluation of members' needs and requirements to achieve and/or maintain optimal wellness state by guiding members/families toward and facilitate interaction with resources appropriate for the care and wellbeing of members.Perform varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments.Perform computations.Typically works on semi-routine assignments.Use your skills to make an impact
Required Qualifications
Less than 3 years of technical experience with Microsoft , Word, Excel, OutlookKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookAdministration support experience in a healthcare industryFamiliarity with care and well-being resourcesMust be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiencesPreferred Qualifications
Associate's DegreeMicrosoft Access proficiencyAdditional Information
Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.
