In this role, you will manage the buying process for a given set of goods, applying sourcing policy, interfacing between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets.
As a Buying and Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Place and follow-up on POs for Suppliers both Public and Internal. Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution. Manage problems and schedule changes.
Ensure correct update of Promise dates in correlation with need dates, prioritization of hard demand and critical PO lines, decide MOS and approve L1 for premium Transportation, ensure RFI and SDRs are closed by Site Engineering at earliest
Utilize internal tools such ValvStore to cut PO to Internal Suppliers and get dates up to dated.
Manage invoice reconciliations issues for Suppliers under responsibilities
Detects and signals flaws in approaches, methods, procedures and processes and suggests improvements.
Handles communication with direct colleagues and the business about data gathering and analysis.
Contributes towards taking important decisions with business relevance or supporting business in making decisions understanding broader cross-functional implications.
Ability to communicate high-level concepts to senior leadership. Frequent use of coaching and development of subordinates.
Work goals typically take 1-3 month to complete and results are seen immediately or within 1-2 months
Work to resolve Materials issues while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics.

To be successful in this role you will:
Hold a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with proven years of experience in Sourcing).
Show strong oral and written communication skills, along with interpersonal and leadership skills.
Be able to work independently, with problem solving and negotiation skills.
Demonstrate ability to work with SAP P31
Be able to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
Show established project management skills.
Be fluent both in Italian, French and English (oral and written).
Be eligible to work in EU.
