Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our dynamic team in Salamanca. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the operations, planning, and execution of IT strategies related to infrastructure across the region. This position requires a strong understanding of local regulations as well as global policies and standards pertaining to IT infrastructure, which includes laptops/desktops, networks, security, servers, and telephony across the site.
 

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business-aligned IT teams to deliver infrastructure capabilities that meet business needs while maintaining a strong focus on end-user support and customer experience.
 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Master the IT Operating Model for end-to-end infrastructure services management to enhance collaboration between IT and the business.Collaborate effectively with various IT departments and facility management to ensure the onboarding of new employees.Operate and implement all IT infrastructure in scope, defining local IT policies and procedures.Implement a sustainable service model for all deployed infrastructure, including end-user IT devices and back-office systems.Manage hardware stock maintenance, planning, and purchasing.Oversee external partners and suppliers.Navigate and influence services effectively in a matrix environment.Continuously analyze and challenge end-to-end processes, making recommendations and performing changes as required.Ensure compliance with applicable policies, laws, and regulations in all work performed.Proactively seek opportunities to improve data quality and usage within the organization to enhance efficiency and productivity.Analyze, shape, and define performance metrics to achieve operational excellence.Own and lead the organization's training plans and documentation.Market and drive awareness of key promotional activities for the organization.

Qualification and Experience:

Education: MSc Degree or BSc Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience in IT or related fields.Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to communicate complex technical and non-technical information clearly and concisely.Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills at all levels, with the ability to engage effectively with C-level customers.Diversity and Inclusion: Experience working in a diverse and inclusive manner across various cultures.Self-Motivation: Fast learner, self-driven, and able to work independently while keeping leadership updated.Client-Facing Experience: Experience in customer service or client-facing roles is beneficial.

Technical Skills:

Understanding of the IT service catalog and the roles and responsibilities of all IT departments.Familiarity with IT infrastructure components, including laptops/desktops, networks, security, servers, and telephony.Good presentation skills and the ability to convey technical information effectively.Experience with CAPEX/OPEX.Knowledge of IT systems development lifecycle and compliance enforcement.Ability to contribute to the development of current and future service delivery offerings to support client relationship needs.Experience in documentation of reference guides and step-by-step instructions.

Advanced Skills:

Demonstrated tactical and strategic thinking with creative problem-solving abilities.Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment and ensure accountability towards the business.Strong analytical skills to identify opportunities for improvement in the IT environment.Ability to manage multiple priorities while demonstrating high motivation and strong client focus.Attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills, with frequent interaction across IT hubs and stakeholders.
