We will count on you to:
Work with Client Executives (CEs) and/or Development Executives (DEs) to review existing insurance programs for conducting thorough reviews and assessments of client accounts to identify and capitalize on opportunities for coverage enhancements or adjustments; customization or design of a new or alternative placement structure based on combination of client requirements and available terms in the market to achieve the best placement results for prospective or existing clients.
Serve as market-facing officer to engage all Marsh-approved insurance providers to secure quotes, negotiate terms, and ensure contract-certainty across placement documentations from signed slips, cover notes, insurance policies, calculations for premiums, commission and other fees and deductions (if any) including but not limited to Technical Service Fee (TSF).
Where necessary, to engage Marsh Asia Placement Hub (APH) and Bowring Marsh Asia (BMA) to secure facultative reinsurance capacities from approved international markets and engage in the negotiations, and ensure contract-certainty across placement documentations from signed slips, reinsurance binders, reinsurance conditions, calculations for premiums, commission and other fees and deductions (if any) including but not limited to Technical Service Fee (TSF).
For Facultative Reinsurance market support, to identify possible cedant or fronting insurer who will take up (front) for the shares from international markets and ensure proper documentation and flow of premium as well as claims fund, should there be any.
For existing Marsh facilities including Auto, Marine Cargo, SME Multiline, to ensure that all CEs/DEs utilize these facilities that allow for more benefits for clients via industry-superior terms and for Marsh via above-standard commission percentage level for all in-scope accounts. To also work with the Placement and/or Portfolio Solutions leader to conduct regular placement and technical knowledge sharing for CEs and DEs.
Provide market-intel and benchmarking inputs and submission to the regional team for the quarterly Global Insurance Market Index (GIMI) providing timely updates on industry developments, policy changes, and emerging risks that may impact coverage and pricing for Marsh clients locally and across the globe.
What you need to have:
Proven experience in Commercial Insurance, with a strong preference for market-facing (preferable) or client-facing roles.
Expertise in insurance products and services, including risk advisories and underwriting processes.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with advanced negotiation capabilities.
Strong ability to forge and maintain connections with market counterparts and internal stakeholders.- Comprehensive knowledge of various types of insurance coverage, such as property and casualty lines
