Role Overview:
Part of the SAP Test Management Office, the SAP Test Coordinator is responsible for supporting the quality assurance process during SAP implementations and upgrades. This role involves assisting in test planning, developing test cases, executing tests, and documenting results while coordinating testing activities among teams. The coordinator collaborates with functional teams and stakeholders to ensure that testing meets project requirements and communicates findings through status reports. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential, along with a basic understanding of SAP modules and testing tools. This entry-level position offers a foundation for career advancement in SAP testing and quality assurance.
What will you do in this role:
Assist in developing and maintaining test plans and strategies for SAP projects and releases.
Support the creation, documentation, and maintenance of test cases and scripts, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
Oversee test execution, result documentation, and defect tracking using tools like XRAY for effective defect management.
Maintain GTP (Global Test Plan) documentation to ensure all testing activities are accurately recorded and updated.
Prepare and distribute test status reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, issues, and risks.
Coordinate day-to-day test tracking activities, ensuring timely execution and resolution of testing tasks.
Facilitate communication between project teams, developers, and business users to ensure clarity on testing requirements and progress.
Provide project support by participating in meetings and discussions related to testing and quality assurance.
Monitor and report on QA activities for releases and projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and methodologies.
What Should you have:
Bachelors’ degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any Technology stream.
1+ years of experience in SAP testing coordination, preferably in a pharmaceutical environment, quality assurance, or related fields.
Familiarity with various SAP modules (like SAP FI, CO, MM, SD, etc.) and their functionalities is required. Prior experience with S/4 HANA would be advantageous.
Familiarity with SDLC in the pharmaceutical industry required.
Involvement in SAP implementation or upgrade projects in testing roles is beneficial.
Proven experience in various testing methodologies such as Manual Testing, Automated Testing, Performance Testing, and Load Testing required.
Proven experience with testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, Jira XRAY, TOSCA, HP ALM, Load Runner) required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Certifications in quality assurance, application management, project management and testing are preferred, such as: ITSQB (such as Certified Tester or Advanced Test Manager), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Agile Tester Certification (CAT), Certified Software Tester (CSTE) or Quality Assurance and Testing (QAT), PMP, or other relevant certifications.
