The Opportunity

This position is located in either Toronto or Montreal (in-office) with travel expected 30 to 50% of the time both within Canada and Latin America. In Abbott’s Heart Failure (HF) business, we’re developing solutions to diagnose, monitor and manage heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

Position Overview:

This position provides support of the Heart Failure Canada & Latin America Commercial Marketing & Sales Organization by managing various initiatives, reporting, and analytics as related to field implementation and execution.This includes, strategic planning and tactical execution of product specific strategy, current portfolio and new product launches and marketing/sales plans to achieve sales growth and margin objectives.This position is responsible for working with global and regional marketing teams to develop and enhance marketing initiatives tailored for local markets. Identifying unique insights from local markets to inform and create effective tactics and strategies and utilizing these insights and strategies to drive business growth in specific local markets.This role is also responsible for training and supporting the success of the Salesforce and Quarterly account planning implementation.Lead cross-functional groups in developing and implementing continuous improvement opportunities to increase operational discipline and control costs including OCOGs reduction through business process improvements, automation and process changes.Participate in the development of regional marketing objectives, strategies, and ensure their execution.Evaluate the practicality and potential of new products and liaise with market development/Therapy Awareness Manager.Develop annual sales volume and profit forecasts, pricing and expense budgetsMaintain and update market models/ data on a quarterly basis including trends and market share.Forecast product requirements, identify potential supply issues, and develop contingency plans.Participate in planning sales promotion and advertising in support of existing products, and determine market strategies and sales tactics to achieve product objectivesDevelop, implement and update product training to sales force on an ongoing basisManages the responsible operational budget effectivelySupport product launches and provide support for all marketing collateral materialsSupervise marketing internsAssist with the development and coordination of HCP Education programs and Advisory boardsOversee the management of tracking and maintenance of warranty programs for product returns as well as service agreements

Education, Experience, Competencies:

Bachelors Degree1 to 3 years previous experienceAbility to communicate in Spanish and/or PortugueseSound understanding or qualifications in marketing related principles, strong numerical skills.Drive for ResultsInnovation & InitiativeStrong Influencing and interpersonal skillsCustomer focused; comprehensive industry knowledgeStrong knowledge of computer-based programs including spreadsheets and graphics
